1935-2010

Paul Richard Bean, 74, was born December 24, 1935 in Nephi, Utah. Paul passed away March 9, 2010 at Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi after a lingering illness.
Paul was the son of George C. and Gladys Merle Greenland Bean. Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Jean Burnett Bean; three sons, Michael (Debbie) Bean, California, Jeff (Patti) Bean, Meeker, Colorado, Toby (Lesley) Bean, California; one brother, Jack R. Bean ,West Point, Utah; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Kenneth G. Bean and a granddaughter, Andrea Dawn Bean.
The things that Paul enjoyed most in life centered on his beautiful and loving family. The family outings with all the grandchildren, wife and sons would make his big generous heart swell with pride. His grandchildren adored him and he lovingly spoiled each and every one with equal portions of love and kindness. Fishing and hunting with his sons were an especially cherished time in his life. These times Mike, Jeff and Toby will remember forever. Paul loved them so deeply. Paul worked for many years as the Superintendent of Mines in Utah and New Mexico for Homestake Mining and Development Company.
The Family would like to express their deepest gratitude and heart felt appreciation to Doctor Mark Oveson for his loving care and friendship. His devotion and love to our family was immeasurable. The highly professional nursing staff and care givers at Central Valley Medical Center were extraordinary in their warm and tender approach in our time of grief.
The Bean Family is so very grateful to the Central Valley Hospice team for assisting us with the transition of this precious man. You made the process peaceful and understandable. Thank you Tiffany and your incredible staff of angels.
