JHS has great showing at Sterling Scholar competition

Juab High School had a great showing at the Central Utah Sterling Scholar competition March 12 in Richfield coming away with one winner and five runners-up.
Hailee Garrett was the winner in Agricultural Science. Runners-up included Clara Bills from North Sevier and Elli Reber from Gunnison Valley.
Katie Davis was a runner-up in Visual Arts. The winner was Jordan Carter from South Sevier. Runner-up was Tanner Hansen from Manti.
Rachelle Terry was a runner-up in Dance. The winner was Taleah Cox from Manti. Runner-up was Delainee Bliss from Delta.
Kolten Kendall was a runner-up in Social Science. The winner was Lauren Benjamin from Richfield. Runner-up was Paige Johnson from Delta.
Sierra Orten was a runner-up in English and Literature. The winner was Elsa Torgersen from South Sevier. Runner-up was Klarissa Shaffer from Manti.
McKinzey Wickel was a runner-up in Science. The winner was Kelsey Keel from Millard. Runner-up was D. Jaden Turner from Richfield.

Trade and Technical Education: Dustin Allred, North Sanpete; Mason Bailey, Richfield, and Jake Carlson, Delta.
Business and Marketing Education: Courtney Worthington, Gunnison Valley; Hunter Hold, Richfield and Jacob Orton, North Sanpete.
Family and Consumer Sciences: Natalee Halling, Manti; Emily Johansen, North Sanpete, and Kassidy Western, Delta.
Speech and Drama: Casey Lamb, North Sanpete; Breanna Bigelow, Gunnison Valley, and Brittnie Sorensen, Manti.
Computer & Information Technology: Lacie Watson, Delta; Brynlee Honeycutt, North Sevier, and Mark Barton, Manti.
General Scholarship: Steven Olsen, Manti; Allison Finlinson, Delta, and Cash Allred, North Sevier.
Overall totals were Delta: 1 winner, 8 runners-up; Manti: 3 winners, 5 runners-up; North Sanpete, 4 winners, 3 runners-up; Juab, 1 winner, 5 runners-up; Richfield, 1 winner, 3 runners-up; South Sevier, 2 winners, 1 runner-up; North Sevier, 3 runners-up; Gunnison Valley, 1 winner, 2 runners-up; Millard, 2 winners.
Other JHS Sterling Scholars competing were James Spencer, Bryana Robinson, Jacob Olsen, and Emily Wilson.
Other schools competing were Cedar Ridge, Piute, Tintic, Wayne, and Open High School of Utah.
