A Salt Lake City woman was killed in a single-car accident in Salt Creek Canyon.
The driver was identified as Anthony Hiatt and the passenger, who died, as Jillian Forsyth, both from the Salt Lake area.
"On April 18, 2013, there was a motor vehicle crash on SR-132 at approximately mile marker 41," said Sergeant Nick Bowles, Utah Highway Patrol.
The vehicle, a Mercury Sable, was traveling west bound and ran off the road to the north. It struck several boulders causing it to roll.
"The male driver and female passenger were ejected from the vehicle," said Bowles.
Forsyth sustained fatal injuries from the accident.
Hiatt was taken to Central Valley Medical Center and then flown to Intermountain Medical Center.
"The case is being screened with the county attorneys office where charges may be filed," said Bowles.
Speed and alcohol are suspected to have contributed to the accident.
Neither subject was wearing a seatbelt.
