  • Nine contestants will vie for title of Miss Juab County

The Juab County Fair will host the Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant on Monday, August 8th. The pageant will be held at Juab Jr. High School at 7 pm. Nine contestants will vie for the title.

Kate Reynolds is the daughter of Casey and Amanda Reynolds. Kate will be performing a vocal solo titled “Cowboys Sweetheart” for her talent. Kate is studying Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Utah State University and will be earning her master’s through a five-year program.

Avery Thomas is the daughter of Brandon Thomas and Barbara Finlinson. Avery will perform a lyrical dance number titled “Half Light”. Avery plans on attending Mountainland Technical College during her senior year of high school to obtain a Dental Assisting Certification. After high school, she plans on attending Utah Valley University to graduate with a bachelor of science in Dental Hygiene.

Eden Powers is the daughter of Christel Nelson. Eden will perform a vocal solo for her talent. Eden’s future plans are to focus on graduating from high school and worry about whatever comes next when it happens.

Elizabeth Harwood is the daughter of Robin Harwood. Elizabeth will perform a vocal solo titled “When Will My Life Begin”. Elizabeth plans on graduating from Juab High School and continue her studies to be a vet tech at MTech.

Taylie Isaacson is the daughter of Ryan and Tammy Isaacson. Taylie will perform a vocal solo titled “Blue” by Leann Rhimes for her talent. Taylie is currently attending the master’s esthetician program at the Skin Science Institute.

Savanah Rasch is the daughter of Cody Rasch and Marci Leavitt. Savanah will perform a dance solo titled “Fly Away” for her talent. Savanah will be a senior at Juab High School this fall, where she is on the varsity girls soccer team, dances with the drill team, and will represent as the Dance Sterling Scholar, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She plans on attending Southern Utah University to study Psychology, and later serve an LDS mission.

Emily Peterson is the daughter of Devon and Teresa Peterson. Emily will perform a piano solo for her talent. Emily plans to get a degree in Graphic Design at Southern Utah University, then open up a wedding venue.

Alivia England is the daughter of Jared and Anne England. Alivia will perform a vocal solo for her talent. Alivia plans on completing high school this upcoming spring. She then plans to attend Utah Technology University to earn a degree in Radiology.

Hadlei Weaver is the daughter of Justin and Shawna Weaver. Hadlei will perform a ballroom dance for her talent. Hadlei plans on attending a 4 year university to study International Business. She hopes to get her pilot’s license and start her own business. Hadlei would like to expand her education in lots of different areas of study.

The contestants will perform their talent, model evening gowns, spotlight “Celebrations”, and answer an onstage question at the pageant.

Karlee Lopour, Miss Juab County 2021, and her attendants, Kloey Sessions and Naesha Poulsen, will emcee the pageant.

It will be a night filled with lots of talent and entertainment. The new 2022 royalty will reign over the fair week festivities, August 6th - 13th.
