Lois Miles Pedersen passed away at home Friday June 2, 2023 with her best friend and sweetheart, Mundi, at her side. She was born in Preston, Idaho on May 22, 1941 to Dorothy Allen and Cecil Miles. She was raised in Banida, Idaho and went to grade school there. She then attended Preston Jr. High and graduated from Preston High School. She loved being in the school musicals and had a beautiful singing voice. She often sang in the community at weddings, funerals and other events. After high school she attended LDS business college in Salt Lake; she then chose to serve an LDS mission and was called to the Alaskan Canadian Mission. While serving on Vancouver Island she met a young man named Mundi Pedersen. They were later married on March 19, 1965 in the Logan Utah Temple. In the years that followed they welcomed nine children. They raised their family in Provo, Eureka, and Delta, Utah creating many lasting friendships along the way.
Mom was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived her life as a devoted disciple of her Savior Jesus Christ. She served in many callings in her lifetime, but her favorite callings were with the primary kids. She still has many of those kids that have kept in touch as adults.
The focus of her life was always her sweetheart, her kids and her grandkids. Her great-grandkids brought such joy in her final days. She said she wanted to make sure her grandkids and great-grandkids knew she loved them! She served her family tirelessly to the very end and was an example of Christlike love and service to all of us.
She’s survived by her sweetheart Mundi Pedersen and their nine children; Jed (Lisa) Pedersen, Alan Pedersen, Brian (Traci) Pedersen, Tony (Karen) Pedersen, Leanne Pedersen Dunford, Wendy (Sam) Stevens, Brent (Jodi) Pedersen, Kristina (Ben) Johnson, and Robin Pedersen. She has 39 grandkids, and 20 great-grandkids. They were her reward for surviving her nine kids. She was the toughest, sweetest woman we all know.
